Gumnut Cafe, Hall ACT

Gumnut Cafe

Food: 2/5
Atmosphere: 2/5
Service: 2/5
Cost: $$

Gumnut Cafe is a quaint little establishment in the centre of Hall. Unfortunately, on this occasion it was nothing to write home about. Brunch was standard, we couldn't use our voucher because we hadn't booked (the place was quiet), and they don't offer EFTPOS facilities. The menu was limited however the prices were fair.

Mocha.

The Gumnut Big Brekkie
$13.00

Eggs Benedict, served with one spinach leaf. I have a feeling that the hollandaise was also from a packet, however it was nice.
$13.00

The recent refurbishment has really made a difference to the ambience here at Au Lac. I was actually proud to bring my friend here to try this restaurant, as I remembered it to be dull, shabby and tacky when I first ordered takeaway a few years ago.

Faux meat. Very interesting and unique! Give it a try to experience a true psychological mind game.

Jasmine Tea. This was delicious. I couldn't get enough!

Soy shrimp on toast (4 pieces) - slightly mushy.

Au Lac spring rolls - some of the best I've had in quite a while.

Reminded me of Chicken-flavoured Twisties for some strange reason.
