Vinyl Room, Manuka ACT

Vinyl Room

Food: 3.5/5
Atmosphere: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Cost: $$

In my opinion, this is possibly the best new bar in Canberra. Having recently opened just over a month ago, I was really looking forward to trying it. I love the fact that Vinyl Room is located in the main street, as well as amongst the majority of the Manuka restaurants. The newly refurbished establishment is modern, chic and romantic.

The finger food was the perfect accompaniment to our pre-dinner drinks and was also very reasonably priced for the portion size. The olives were served with a decent bowl of spiced almonds which we hadn't ordered, so the complimentary dish was a nice surprise!

The cocktails are an average price for a Canberra cocktail bar, yet the quality is second to none. The Red Canary ($16) was one of the best cocktails I've ever tried and I can assure you I will be back for more. If the original and varied cocktail menu doesn't bring you back, the high level of service will. I found it quite refreshing to be served by knowledgable staff who really take the time to ensure that your experience is an excellent one.
